Event Highlights

Hundreds of members of the Gloucester and GHS hockey community gathered at the Tank ahead of the Fishermen’s 2025–2026 home opener to honor the retirement of Chris’s jersey, #18. His number will remain at Talbot Rink as a lasting tribute to the many years he spent on that ice—from his early days with Cape Ann Learn to Skate and Cape Ann Youth Hockey to his time with the GHS Fishermen.

Chris’s teammates from his years with the Fishermen joined the Dailey family on the ice for a moving dedication ceremony, which featured a tribute video produced by Bernie Perisie. Following the ceremony, Chris’s future teammates from Coastal Carolina University’s Club Men’s Ice Hockey Team generously presented the Daileys with home and away CCU jerseys bearing the name “Dailey” and the number 18.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Gloucester High School Athletics Program, Dorothy Talbot Skating Rink, the GHS Boys Hockey Boosters, the CCU Hockey Team, and the many others who offered their support and assistance in organizing Chris’s memorial. Your kindness, time, and generosity meant so much to everyone involved and beautifully honored his memory.
